Printable Quotes To Make You Smile
The thing I love about printable quotes is that we can change them out according to our current situations, that they may inspire us.
If you read my post about coping with grief you know that the last few months have been hard and I find that I cry... a lot. With that being said I have also found things to laugh about and love. Life has a funny way of pulling us in both directions.
I knew I wanted to do some more printable quotes and started searching for inspiration when I happened upon this quote by an unknown author. My favorite part of this whole quote is the word "show." Why? It's an action verb. Through all my tears and grief there have been moments where I wonder how I am supposed to keep moving on. I've learned that I can't just wait for life to turn itself around and shower me with rainbows and butterflies, although that would be nice. Instead I have to decide to find other things to be happy about and engage myself in activities that make me smile.
That's not to say I can't ever cry. I need to cry, its therapeutic and its ok to cry. I just need to make sure I'm finding more things that make me smile then not and boy do I have a lot to smile about.
This printable quote is August's free Download of the Month. I hope you find inspiration in it like I have. You can download it from my website here.
Like my other printables the intent is that you will print it off on a regular 8 1/2 x 11 size paper and trim it to fit into an 8 x 10 frame.
What made you smile today?

4th of July Printable
I was hoping to have this 4th of July Printable up a couple of weeks ago but better late then never. One of my favorite things about the 4th of July is getting to sing all of the patriotic songs. They still give me chills every time I hear them. I am so grateful for those who have fought for our freedoms and still do.
This 4th of July Printable is FREE and found on my website for downloading in my Download of the Month section.. It was intended to be printed on an 8 1/2 x 11 size paper and trimmed to fit into an 8 x 10 frame.
What are some of your favorite things about the 4th of July? If you aren't from America, how do you show your patriotism to your country?

Father's Day Printables (Download of the Month)
Father's Day is fast approaching and as you can see my Free Download of the Month are Father's Day Printables. Again, these are words that I thought appropriately described my own dad. These Father's Day Printables are simple in design and coordinate with last month's download for Mother's Day.
I always have a hard time describing my relationship with my dad. My mom is best friend but there is something special about a father-daughter relationship. It's one that I can't adequately put into words.
To find these free Father's Day Printables head on over to my website, here.
It was designed to be printed on 8.5 x 11 size paper and then trimmed to fit into an 8 x 10 frame.
What words would you use to describe your father?
Be sure to check back in the next couple of weeks for next months free download of the month. It will be in honor of the the Fourth of July so I will be releasing it a few weeks early.

Mother's Day Printables (Download of the Month)
It's time for another free download of the month. May is perfect for some Mother's Day printables. I had so many ideas for Mother's Day Printables that I actually started more than one template. In the end I decided I wanted something that was clean and simple but described some of the things my mom is to me.
As an adult child I would say that next to my husband, my mom is my best friend. She is the person I call the most and know is my number one fan. She is the person I look to for advice and counsel and is the kind of mother I hope to someday be. Thus, this printable was done in her honor.
You can find this free printable on my website here.
It was designed to be printed on and 8.5 x 11 size paper and then trimmed to fit into and 8 x 10 frame.
What words would you use to describe your mother? Be sure to check back at the end of the month for another free download that coordinates with my Mother's Day Printables but for Father's Day.

Printable Quotes (Download of the Month)
This weekend I stumbled across this quote on Pinterest and wanted to design some printable quotes to frame and place in my home. I made sure to check the source as not everything is credible on Pinterest. Sure enough I stumbled across the quote in this talk This, the Greatest of All Dispensations.
It couldn't have come at a better time. Having a fourth miscarriage fairly recently I've been struggling with trying to find the hope to keep trying. As I try to prepare myself to go through with a Frozen Embryo Transfer in a few short weeks I find myself trying to list all of the reasons it won't work, why I shouldn't do it, why I should just be done for awhile.
Then there are moments like this weekend where I find the inspiration I need to keep going. I set all of the appointments for a FET because somewhere there is still hope inside if me. It's our dreams that keep us going and so I will go on believing that someday those dreams will come true.
I loved this quote so much that I decided it will be this month's FREE download of the month.
You can find these printable quotes (without my watermark) on my website under my download of the month section.
May all of your dreams come true!

St. Patrick s Day Printables
I think it's about time for another free Download of the Month and what better for the month of March then St. Patrick s Day printables? Like my other Downloads of the Month the idea is that you print it on a regular 8 1/2 x 11 size paper and trim it down to fit into an 8 x 10 size frame. I took just a little less than 1/2 inch from top and bottom while taking a little less than 1/4 of an inch from the sides.
You can find this and other free downloads on my website. Be sure to look around while you're there.
I love the bright colors of these St. Patrick s Day printables and that they aren't in your typical rainbow colors. If you compare the two photos above you'll notice a little bit of a difference in color. This brings up a a good topic to discuss. Sometimes, when you go to print things on any printer you'll find that the colors are off. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. Printers need to be re calibrated every so often to adjust the colors back to what your screen is showing. Why? Printing causes a lot of wear and tear on the machines themselves. I'm guessing the printer at Staples is getting close to needing to be re calibrated. If this happens to you, there are several courses of actions you can take.
1.) Ask them if there is anything they can do to get your print closer to what your screen is showing.
2.) Find out when there machines are due for their next tune up. (If it's not for a while and the color is pretty bad I would probably find a different company. That's poor service.)
3.) Ask for a refund.
4.) Take it somewhere else.
5.) Take it as it is.
I chose number 5 this time. The color wasn't terrible and I didn't mind it.
I hope you enjoy these St. Patrick s Day Printables :)

New Year's Resolutions Printable - (Download of the Month)
Happy New Years! I had a friend who asked if I could make some printables that would help her keep track of some of her health goals. I thought that this idea would make a great free Download of the Month for January and I think they turned out pretty darn good.
There are two different types of downloads this month. The first is a monthly calendar to keep track of when you reach your daily goals. The beauty is you get to set your goals. You get to decide how many hours of sleep each night you want to get, how much exercise and what type, how much water you want to drink each day, and if you keep within your set goals for "treats." As you can see you just fill in each month with a white board marker on top of the glass of your 8 x 10 frame and check off the goals you reach each day.
The second set of printables are for your weekly goals. It is a little more detailed in that you keep track of how many cups of water you drink each day, the number of hours of sleep, what you do for exercise each day and what "treats" you did or did not eat. Again you get to set your own goals.
Then you wipe it away and start over each week.
So what is a treat? Anything you are trying to limit. Perhaps crackers are your treats that you want to only eat twice a week. Maybe you are trying to limit the amount of breads you eat. As you can see my weakness right now is sugars. The idea is that by writing down what treats you do eat you will be more conscious each day of what you eat.
You can find all of the downloads at my website. They are jpeg files and are intended to be printed on 8.5 x 11 size paper and trimmed down to fit into an 8 x 10 frame.
Happy Health!

Inexpensive Gift Ideas (Dec. Download of the Month)

In addition I have left up the countdowns for Thanksgiving and Halloween as printing all three free downloads would make for an inexpensive Christmas gift for someone special in your life. All you would need other than the prints would be some kind of 8 x 10 frame.
Like all my countdowns each print was designed on an 8 1/2 x 11 size paper with the idea that you will trim it down to fit in an 8 x 10 frame.
It's fitting that since today is the 1st of December we would be having a blizzard and the freeway has been shut down. Thus I do not have a photo of the Christmas Countdown in my house, just yet. It works like the other two only you use the dry erase marker to keep track of the days on top of the star (on top of the glass) instead of the turkey or pumpkin.
Below are examples of the other free countdown printables.

Gratitude Photo Scavenger Hunt (and Blog Hop)

These printables can be found on my website, here.

Thus here are the details.
-The Scavenger Hunt will start now, November 3rd and go through November 20th. The idea is to try and get as many photos from the list as you can. If you don't finish that's ok too, show us what you did find.
-The following week will be our show and tell week where you can then post your photos in a blog post, on Facebook, or wherever and however you would like. Mine will be going up on Monday, November 21st where I will be linking to those interested in a blog hop.
Not interested in the blog hop? No problem, simply leave the link to your blog post in the comments and I will gladly come see how your hunt turned out.
If you are like me you may want to throw some kind of Gratitude Party in the end to celebrate but it's not a requirement, just another reason to get together with those we care about.
On your mark... get set... GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pinterest Projects (Gifts For Him)

I have successfully completed another Pinterest project, too bad it was a few weeks late. The husband and I celebrated our fifth anniversary last month. If you are like me, your husband is impossible to shop for let alone surprise. Gifts for him are hard to find even online. I saw the idea on Pinterest to frame a piece of paper with the words, "Today I Love You" and then each day you fill in another reason with marker on the glass. The photo I saw was made more for a little child's room but the idea was perfect for an anniversary gift.
Thus I decided to create my own version and make it a little more masculine. My husband loves American History, Baseball, and is a Literature buff. Thus I combined all of those loves into my design.
The best part was when I gave it to him and he asked, "Are you really going to fill in something new each day?" It was honest excitement on his face.
He loves the idea, so I decided that I would offer this print download for FREE on my website under the "Download of the Month" section. It is available in an 11 x 17 size (meant to be trimmed down to fit an 11 x 14 frame) and 8 1/2 x 11 (also meant to be trimmed to fit and 8 x 10 frame).
Gifts for him don't have to be expensive. I paid about a dollar to have my 11 x 17 printed on cardstock at Staples and then the cost of my frame (which Michaels always has a good deal on with a coupon).
Now onto coming up with some more ideas for gifts for him as his birthday is just around the corner? Anyone else have a great project they would like to share?
