Shabby Christmas Cards 2011 (Preview)

This week has not gone at all like I had planned, not that it has been bad. I had hoped to finish these Shabby Christmas Card Templates and have them up on my website a few days ago, alas I have changed my goal to be the end of this weekend. I'm not sure if they are quite finished, more specifically the middle card. I have an idea for something I'd like to add but that would require actually sitting down and finishing it.

If you couldn't tell these Shabby Christmas Cards were inspired by our family photos that were taken this year. I really like them and now have to choose which one I'm going to send out or if I want to create a whole new one.

I also have in the works another set that were inspired by one of my best friend's family that hopefully I will have ready by next Tuesday. (Hint: It's centered teal, red, and grey).

It's that time to start getting your orders in whether you download a .psd and use your version of Photoshop to make changes or you want me to add your photos in and make changes and send you the final .jpeg file for you to print.

Well, what do you think of my first digital Christmas cards collection for 2011? All six cards from my Shades of Red collection will be available on my website along with last years digital Christmas cards.

They will be available in .psd format for those with Photoshop to download.

and

They will be available in .jpg format for those who wish for me to put their family photos into one of the templates and send them the flattened .jpg file, ready to print at the location of your choice.

All six of these templates are available in 4 x 6, 5 x 7, and 6 x 7 1/2 sizes.

Digital Christmas Cards 2011 (Sneak Peek)

Remember this color palette for my digital Christmas cards? Well I'm almost ready to show the collection that goes with it. There will be six total in this collection and I'm just hammering out some of the finer details. Be sure to check back next week as I reveal the other five digital Christmas cards.

As always these and many other digital Christmas card collections will be available to download in .psd format directly from my website. For those who don't have Photoshop you can still order a flattened .jpg file from me. Simply follow the directions on my website, email me the photos you wish to be used, and then once the template is completed you can print at the location of your choice.

I'm hoping to release a new collection each week during the month of October. What color schemes or styles would you like to see.

Digital Christmas Cards (2011 Color Palette #1)

It's that time of year again.... I know it is still only September but I'm already gearing up for the holiday season which of course means more digital Christmas cards. All of last year's digital Christmas cards are being uploaded to my website as we speak. You can also find that particular set on my Facebook Fan Page. However, I will be creating a lot more unique Chrismas cards to add to my collection. Above is just a sample of one of my color palettes.

If you know me, I am not a traditional person. I don't believe that all things Christmas must be done in red and green only. Instead I like to take vary color palettes and add spunk into the digital Christmas cards world.

In the next few months be on the look out for my latest creations, opportunities to win a free semi- custom holiday card templates, and much much more.

Custom Holiday Photo Cards (Valentine's Day Cards)

I am so excited to introduce my Simple. Love. collection. While in the designing process the idea of this phrase came to mind and was my initial inspiration. Why? Too often I find myself caught up in the commercialism of the holidays or am trying to compete with friends to be the better wife, daughter, etc.

Thus I wanted to break down what Valentine's Day is really all about and it simply put, love is the most important fact. When you think of Valentine's Day I hope this phrase, Simple. Love. comes to mind. Enjoy!

Grand Opening and a Giveaway

Sarah Dawn Designs is officially open for business! You may be asking what kind of business this is? I design semi-custom cards, announcements as well as a little bit of color consultation.

What does "semi-custom" mean? Good question. The idea is that those who have Photoshop will have the option of purchasing and downloading a template. Then if they so choose they can change the color or font on the template and insert their own photos. The templates are of course for personal use only. Unfortunately, this part of this business is not quite ready but be checking back soon for the launch date of my website.

Don't have Photoshop? No problem. The other side of my business is to allow customers to send me their photos and any information they want on their card. Then in return they would be able to download a jpeg file once I have inserted all information. Ideally, this will all be done through my website but once again, it is still under construction. Thus for the Christmas season things are going to be done a little "old school." If you are interested in one of my Christmas cards please email me at SarahDawnDesigns@gmail.com. Send me the photo/s you would like to use and the information you would like on the card. After receiving payment (I will email you the address) I will email you the jpeg file and you can print away.

So how much do these cards cost? Only $10.50. This gets the photo and information put in as well as the copyright to your flattened image. If you see one that you like but the colors aren't quite what you are looking for, a small fee of $2.50 more will get you those color changes.

Below are the first 15 designs. Currently they are in 5 x 7 format but I will make them available in 4 x 6 and 6 1/2 x 7. Check back for more as they are updated. I hoping to be able to double this number by the end of next week.

Christmas cards aren't my only specialty. They just happen to be the first that are done. Thus, if you are interested in say a baby announcement or wedding announcement, shoot me an email and I'll see what I can do for you.

Now what is a "Grand Opening" without a giveaway? You guessed it, I am giving away one of these Christmas Cards to one of you lucky readers.

How do you enter? Well, you have three different options.
