FREE Download of The Month (Advent Calendar)

A few months ago I got together with some friends to pull together a day of crafts. We searched crafting blogs over and over until we came up with a list of projects. One of those projects was an advent calendar. Originally it was supposed to be a Christmas advent calendar but I wanted to be able to use it all year long.

We found the original idea at Blue Cricket Design for the tutorial on how to make the frame.

Here are the basics of the project we made. We painted a circle onto the glass of a photo frame out of chalk board paint. Then we used vinyl for the words, "days until." We didn't want to use it for only Christmas, thus we didn't put the holiday in vinyl and opted to put it on the background. Although I can be extremely crafty I didn't have the motivation to scrapbook pages to go behind the glass, thus I decided I would create them using Photoshop.

Now I'm offering them to all of you for FREE! That's right each month my website will feature a new download of the month. These freebies are intended to be used with an 8 x 10 frame and I've even created a cut border to help you with the sizing.

For those who don't have access to a vinyl cutter I've also included a .jpg with the words "days until" written onto the page.

To find this sweet download head on over to my website found here.

Each download of the month includes"

(1) 8 1/2 " X 11" Printable JPEG without the black lettering
(1) 8 1/2 " X 11" Printable JPEG with the black lettering

*Please note you will purchase these downloads like any other item in my store but when you check out you will select the "free checkout" option. Then it will take you to the confirmation page. Click "Continue" and then "My Downloads" found under "My Account."*

Color Consultant - An Office In The Works

Did you know that not only does Sarah Dawn Designs specialize in semi - custom photo cards and announcements but offers services as a color consultant? What is a color consultant you may ask? Well let me give you a brief description of my current project (which is one of the reasons I have been MIA for a while).

A local office contacted me requesting that I help in the selection of new carpet and paint finishes. This is perhaps one of my favorite things to do, I can't get enough of new finishes. Thus I met with a team of three employees to discuss their needs and wants and to look at the space in need of some serious tender love and care.

For this project my role as a color consultant included the following responsibilities:
-Initial Consultation
-Additional Meetings
-Talking with a Carpet Rep and Procuring Additional Samples
-Pulling Together Paint Solutions
-Providing Wood Squares and Painting Them With Sample Colors
-Creating a Paint Schedule (a map detailing which walls will receive which colors)

I can't wait to show you the difference this little face-lift will make in not only the aesthetics of the building but hopefully in the work environment as well.

Brag Books - Black and White (Sneak Peek)

Ok, really this set is black, white and GRAY, one of my favorite colors. Check back soon to see the full set which will make your photos of loved ones look so elegant.

Photo Baptism Invitations - Sweet and Pink

Isn't this little girl such a doll!!! I loved designing this invite and more than satisfied with the end result. The great thing about my current photo baptism invitations is that they could easily be transformed into a christening, baby blessing or any other religious invitations.
