Having Some Pumpkin Fun

Are you ready for some pumpkin fun?  If you can't tell by all my previous fall posts, I love pumpkins and have been working on one pumpkin project after another.  The only thing that could make all this pumpkin fun better is to have a mantle.  I long to be able to decorate a fall mantle but since that isn't an option right now I will stick with my side table and make the most of it.  Can you believe I made most of those decorations?  I know, I'm still in shock myself.

Best Veggie Lasagna

I know what you're thinking, who makes a veggie lasagna?  That's just wrong.  I probably would have thought the same thing until we got married.  When we were on our cruise for our honeymoon they served a veggie lasagna at one of the dinners and it was A-MAZ-ING.  I loved it so much that I wanted to find a recipe that I could make.  I also wanted to find one that was fairly healthy and not 3/4 cream cheese (even though I love cream cheese:).  I have been making this recipe for years and not only is it one of the hubby's favorite it is a hit when I serve to guests and no one misses the meat.

Pintastic Monday Link Party #10

Welcome to another fabulous Pintastic Monday where bloggers come together to pin one another's Projects.  This week I have an exciting announcement!  Pintastic Monday is being co-hosted with fellow designer friend Dawnelle at Just Dawnelle. What does this mean?  It means that when you link up at either of our parties your post will show up on BOTH of our blogs and more opportunity for exposure.  We will each be selecting our favorites and featuring them separately.  If you haven't check out her blog I highly recommend it.  She's got a great sense of fashion and design and some really great ideas.

On to the party.

Here is what I was up to last week.  Completing my never-ending cursed pumpkins and an easy, healthy dinner recipe that can be ready in 20 minutes or less.

Our top two most viewed links are:

Tips and advice from Ninja Grandma

as well as this cute Halloween craft from Stubbornly Crafty.

Eat Sleep Make linked up these really cute and easy bangles.  They are perfect for adding that pop of color to any outfit.

With fall in the air I'm starting to get excited for soup season and Crafty MisAdventures has a delicious look potato soup recipe.

For What It's Worth created this really cute sweater pumpkin for fall and dressed it up all fancy like.

Finally we have this homemade stroganoff recipe from Not Your Ordinary Recipes.

20 Minute Meals - Light and Healthy Pasta

If your life is anything like mine, 20 minute meals ares sometimes a necessity.  Between the two jobs I now have in addition to maintaining my blog, owning my own business, volunteering with our youth group, etc., I find that I still need to feed my family no matter how crunched on time I am.   Weird, I know.  I don't want the  health of my family to take a nose dive even if I can't seem to pack another thing into my schedule.  Thus I'm always on the hunt for easy 20 minute meals that are also healthy.

The Curse of the Fall Pumpkins

You may recognize these fall pumpkins from last year.  Yes it has taken me that long to complete them but its not a for a lack of trying.  When I started this project I was thinking this would be an easy, classy project.  How hard can painting fall pumpkins be?  It should be fairly easy unless you purchase a cursed pumpkin.  Dun, Dun, DUN!

Halloween Wreath and Banner

I started working on this Halloween Wreath over a month ago.  After completing my 4th of July straw wreath I knew I wanted to make one more but for Halloween and I think this Halloween wreath is even better than the original.  It's so graphic with  just the right amount of color.  I promise though this is my last straw wreath... that I know of.  It has so many different looks to it.

Pintastic Monday - Fall Edition

Welcome back to Pintastic Monday!!!  Things are going to be a little different here today as it is our "Fall Edition?"  What does that mean?  It means I want to see all of your fall related posts, old or new and as many as you want to link up.  If you've already linked up your fall project in the past feel free to link it up again:)

I will still have another link collection below our fall one for all of your other projects just know that most of next week's features will be fall related.

Here's my latest fall craft.

A pumpkin made out of a book.

On to our features which is always hard to select.  Here is last week's most viewed link.

How cute are these glass jars from Kaminski Creations?  They get bonus points for being an upcycled project.  Two of these letters were made using spaghetti sauce jars.  Awesome right?

Earlier this week I was complaining the Bountiful Baskets didn't have Utah Peaches this week since we didn't get them last week on our "off" week.  Instead they were selling boxes of pears.  "What am I supposed to do with that many pears?"  Mary's Kitchen has just the answer with her pear preserves.  I've hear pear jelly is amazing!

Cashew Chicken has to be one of my favorites and the recipe from Will There Be Food There looks delicious.  I must admit, I've never tried to make it myself but you can bet it will be on my menu in the near future.

Craftiments: How to Discourage Theft of Your Blog Content by Feed Scrapers

I'm saddened by the fact that their are dishonest people out in the world.  After seeing so many bloggers talk about truncating their posts to protect against feed scrapping I decided that I was going to do the same to my blog this week.  I planned to Google how to do this but was ecstatic when Craftiments linked up with this step by step tutorial to protect your blog.

I've seen these huge clothes pins at the craft stores and absolutely love them.  Let's Get Crafty has a great use for them and I think they would look great in a laundry room.

Finally we have this rug makeover from Rustic Silk.  It's amazing how much difference a little paint can make.  I love the contrast!

If you were featured here at Sarah Dawn Designs and want to grab a button you can find it on my sidebar.

Thank-you to all who participated last week.

Simple Fall Crafts - Book Pumpkins

I am all about the simple fall crafts this year as my schedule seems to be stretched to the max.  Even better is when I can find simple fall crafts that cost me little to nothing like this book pumpkin.  I was able to make it from things I already had at home which gains points for frugality and recycling.
